R.I.S.K. – Navigating Uncertainty in the Oil & Gas Sector: A Three-Day Management Development Programme | 15–17 July 2026

The Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad, successfully conducted a three-day Management Development Programme (MDP) titled “R.I.S.K – A Framework for Navigating Uncertainty in the Oil & Gas Sector” from 15–17 July 2026 for 18 senior executives at the General Manager (GM) and Chief General Manager (CGM) levels.

The programme focused on strengthening participants’ capabilities in managing uncertainty through a structured approach to Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) based on the ISO 31000 Risk Management Framework. The sessions covered risk identification, assessment, mitigation strategies, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), risk registers, dashboards, scenario planning, Monte Carlo simulation, Value at Risk (VaR), business continuity, and emerging risks such as cybersecurity, ESG, and energy transition.

Designed with a strong practical orientation, the programme combined expert lectures with case studies, group exercises, simulations, and hands-on Excel-based activities, enabling participants to apply risk management tools to real-world challenges in the oil and gas sector.

The programme was conducted by Dr. Shree Jyothi Koutha and Dr. Sagyan Sagarika Mohanty, under the guidance of Prof. S. Sreenivasa Murthy, Director, Institute of Public Enterprise. The programme received excellent feedback from participants for its relevance, interactive pedagogy, and practical applicability, reaffirming IPE’s commitment to developing resilient leaders capable of navigating an increasingly complex business environment.
