Consultancy

Undertaking consultancy assignments is one of the specialized major activities of IPE. Since its inception in 1964, IPE has accepted and undertaken consultancy assignments from both National and International organizations, including the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), World Bank, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Commonwealth Secretariat, Department for International Development (DFID), Government of UK, International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE), Central and State Government Departments and Public and Private Sector Enterprises.

IPE has worked closely with leading international think tanks and has supported the Performance Management Division (PMD), Cabinet Secretariat, and Government of India in the conduct of the annual review meetings of the various ministries and departments of the Government of India. IPE has contributed to the formation of a Community of Practices (CoP), that focuses on Government Performance Management through peer-assisted learning.

Specialized assignments for various public enterprises including the NLC, MOIL, HCL, NMDC, GAIL, ECIL, BDL, and various Central and State Government Departments have been completed in the last few years. On an average IPE has been around ten projects every year. The assignments were in diverse areas like Strategic Plan development, Performance Audits of various government schemes, Impact Assessment studies and Baseline Surveys for CSR projects, Design of Operational manuals, Conducting Market Research studies, Recruitment assignments, etc. The Institute has an outstanding record of delivering the inputs in time with application orientation. IPE’s strength lies in its faculty team that has a fine blend of experts with good industrial experience and experts with vast research experience. The Consultancy assignments also help the faculty to keep in constant touch with the industry and this helps in the delivery of sessions in the MDPs as well as the long-term education courses.
