About the Workshop
Beti Bachao Beti Padaoh is an initiative of Government of India to raise the Girls Enrollments in to the secondary education and to balance the Child Sex Ration (CSR). This scheme was initiated in 2015 to empower the women and make women the catalyst of change in the society.

Indian Council of Social Science Research (MoE, Govt of India) had initiated a Short Term Research Call to asses the impact of such Govt funded schemes across the Nation. As a part of this Call, IPE was sanctioned a research project to conduct the impact assessment study on the BBBP scheme in Telangana. The project title is “Role of rural women in chartering girl child education – An Empirical study on the effective implementation of Beti Bachao Beti Padaoh scheme in select areas of Telangana”. On the successful completion of the field study the Project team was instructed by the ICSSR to conduct a workshop to disseminate the findings of the study and to collect the opinions of different beneficiaries and stakeholders of the BBBP Scheme.

This workshop helps in creating a platform for the stakeholders of BBBP scheme to share their experiences, knowledge and their invaluable inputs with the other participants, which also would be recorded and included in the final report of the Project.
