Sports Facility

The importance of physical activity for students to unwind and energize themselves has always been the priority for IPE. To provide quality sports facilities, the available space on the campus is utilized to develop playgrounds and the required sports equipments were provided to students each year. The students are encouraged to organize the sports activities themselves through Sports Committee. Students are sponsored to participate in various sports competitions organized by other Colleges. Students are also encouraged to organize inter-college sports competitions at IPE.

Indoor Sports Facilities

A 35 feet high sports complex admeasuring 7360 sft at a total cost of around Rs.2 crore is under construction. This is located behind the Hostels to accommodate two badminton courts with PVC sports flooring and two tables to play table tennis besides other indoor games like carom, chess, etc.

The proposed sports shed provides for three badminton courts of which two courts are with PVC Sports flooring and one practice court. There is provision for a stage area of 3 ft high for organizing small events by the students. A small gallery on the first floor provides accommodation for spectators with staircases from outside. Provision is also made for separate toilets and change rooms for boys and girls

Outdoor Sports Facilities

1. Synthetic Acrylic Basketball Court with lighting of standard measurements laid as per FIBA Rules
2. Cricket Practice Ground
3. Two Volleyball Courts
4. Two outdoor shuttle courts

The following outdoor sports facilities are available in the Campus:

1. A Titanium FIFA certified Soccer Turf football ground opposite the Academic Block with a playing area of 80 ft X 40 ft. with FIFA certified artificial turf; and
2. Two European ITF certified 5-layer Acrylic Standard Tennis Courts behind the Food Court opposite to the Laundry.
