Short Bio

Dr. Vasanthi Donthi is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience spanning industry, academia, training, research, and consultancy. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor of HRM, OB and Entrepreneurship and the Co-Program Head of PGDM-HRM at Institute of Public Enterprise, She is also the Convenor of the Institute Innovation Council (June 2022–present), Member Coordinator of Accreditation and Ranking (December 2023–present), and Editorial Assistant for the Osmania Journal of Management since June 2022. She also acts as Academic Advisor and BoS member for MSC Educational Society and Stanley College of Engineering and Technology. She has held leadership roles in higher education, including Head of the Department at Stanley College of Engineering and Technology for Women, Abids, Hyderabad, and I/C Principal at Sai Krishna College of MBA and MCA, Metpally, Wanaparthy, Telangana State.

Dr. Vasanthi earned her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior from Telangana University, Nizamabad, with a study on “Organizational Citizenship Behavior in Select Service Sectors.” She qualified the AP State Eligibility Test (APSET) in 2012, holds an MBA in Human Resources from Osmania University (1997–99), and a B. Com from OU College for Women, Koti (1994–97).

Her research contributions are extensive, focusing on leadership, employee engagement, work-life quality, job satisfaction, organizational behavior, virtual learning under the New National Education Policy, consumer perception, and behavioral economics. She has published in ABDC-C, UGC-CARE, Scopus-indexed, and Web of Science journals, with topics ranging from emotional intelligence, recruitment, quality of work-life, and social media in HR to consumer behavior in the service sector. 

Dr. Vasanthi has led and contributed to major research projects, including ICSSR-sponsored studies on the impact of education interventions on girls’ academic progression (grant: ₹1 crore) and the effect of Stand-Up India programs on women entrepreneurs from marginalized communities (grant: ₹14 lakhs). She has also served as National Level Monitor for Rural Development Programs in Karnataka (2024–25).

A committed educator and trainer, she has conducted numerous management development programs (MDPs), training sessions, and workshops, focusing on leadership, emotional intelligence, personal mastery, change management, well-being, social capital, and accountability for middle and senior-level managers of Public Enterprises and corporates. She has co-directed ICSSR-sponsored capacity-building programs for young social sciences faculty, emphasizing startup and entrepreneurship development, and the New Education Policy.

Dr. Vasanthi is an active participant in national seminars, conferences, FDPs, and workshops, presenting papers on HR management, stress management, women entrepreneurship, talent management, and contemporary management challenges. She received the Rajyapuraskar Award (1991) and President Award in Guiding (1992), and has served as school captain and vice-captain for Humanities Stream in her formative years.
