Short Bio

Shaheen is currently an Professor in the School of Analytics and Information Technology at the Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE), Hyderabad in India. Shaheen received her Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science from Kakatiya University and Post Graduate Degree in Computers from Osmania University. She is awarded Ph. D. in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) for her thesis on “Half Logistic Software Reliability: Two Step Approach” from Acharya Nagarjuna University.

Dr.Shaheen a statistician by interest and technologist by qualification has more than two decades of teaching experience. Her interests include Data Science, Machine Learning and Deep Learning using R Studio and Python, Statistics for Management, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. Her research activities are currently three-fold: while the first research activity is related to the study of problems using Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques for monitoring software reliability; the second research theme is relating to Data Science and its applications; while the third research theme is related to socio-economic studies of religious minorities in India. She presented various academic and research based papers at several national and international conferences.

  • Methodological and theoretical research, as well as a considerable portion of applied and collaborative work, addresses faults in software and checks its reliability statistically, establishing a new perspective where stochastic process models are used for identifying and tracking errors in a software application.
