Institute of Public Enterprise (IPE) is delighted to announce the inauguration of “Centre of Excellence in Sustainable Tourism (IPE-CEST)” at its Osmania University Campus, Hyderabad on 23 January, 2023. The Centre is established as a part of the project titled “Centers of Excellence in Sustainable Tourism to boost economic development and enhance university-business cooperation in Southern Asia/ CESTour” funded by European Union – ERASMUS+. Centre aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) in sustainable tourism, by organizing capacity building programmes and also undertaking research and consultancy assignments of national and international importance. Prof S Sreenivasa Murthy, Prof Ch Lakshmi Kumari, Prof P S Janaki Krishna and Dr Maschendar Goud are executing the project and representing IPE.
Prof S Sreenivasa Murthy, Director, IPE inaugurated the Centre. Faculty, students, research scholars, policymakers, destination management organizations, tour operators, tourist associations, and tour guides working for tourism and hospitality industry were present.
