In today’s networked world, IT infrastructure and internet facilities are the pillars of every B- School. Both are essential for accessing knowledge resources on the web as well as for regular teaching-learning activities. Knowledge of Information Technology is essential for effective management, Keeping in view the IT trends in the industry, the Institute has set up a well-equipped Computer Centre with Servers and 120 PCs with latest configuration, IPE provides brand new lap tops to all the students of PGP Courses, the entire IPE campus has been WiFi enabled providing 24×7 internet 600 Mbps(1:1) access to its students and employees as per AICTE norms, IPE has biometric and CCTVs which provide security for the entire campus, IPE also uses a college ERP solution to ensure better interaction for the stakeholder management such as the students, teachers, parents, IPE administration. IPE provides softwares like Office 365, SPSS, SAP, Tableau, Bloomberg Terminal, and LMS – MOODLE.

  1. General
    • Every user of IT infrastructure and Internet access at IPE campus must be conscious that the facilities are meant for official use arising from academic activities and administrative responsibilities relating to students, faculty and staff at the Institute. Use of network resources for personal purposes is discouraged.
    • Each user is expected to view the network resources with a sense of ownership and participation and play an active role in prevention of any misuse of the facility. Users must carefully read and understand the procedures laid down for the management of 1200 network users and be aware that the use of these facilities is governed by the Indian IT Act, the violation of which is a cognizable offence under the Act.
  1. Use of Internet access
    • All users, when visiting the computer labs are required to carry their Identity cards with them and show the same to the lab in-charge as and when asked
    • Internet access for communication and for downloading of audio/video content is provided strictly for academic/administrative purposes and it shall not be used for any personal advertisement, solicitations, promotion or any other commercial
    • Use of internet access is strictly prohibited for participation in internet chat rooms, online contests, online gaming, gambling, stock trading etc. and for viewing/downloading of entertainment videos/songs/images or any other pornographic/objectionable
    • Access to sites that are known to be offensive, obscene or are banned under the law is blocked by the IT administrator. Despite such filters, if any user comes across any material that he/she considers offensive, disrespectful or inappropriate, he/she shall bring it to the notice of the IT Facilitator for suitable action by the
    • Users should not access/upload/download any material/content that could be deemed objectionable by other users. These shall include all material covering, but not limited to, jokes, harassments or discrimination of any individual or group of people based on nationality, religious/political affiliation(s), ethnicity, race, social/familial/marital status, age, physical ability/appearance, medial status, sexual orientation or any other discrimination that is prohibited by
    • Use of the network to spread any harmful messages/programs, to tamper with contents stored on other computers, to hack into and compromise security of other systems or to cause damage of any kind using the internet access is strictly prohibited. Every such act is an offence and the user is liable for any civil losses caused, in addition to the criminal prosecution under the Indian IT Act 2000.
    • Connecting external storage devices to computers in the labs, without the prior permission from lab in-charge, is prohibited. If users want to take a back-up of the contents downloaded by them from the Internet or of their other work in the lab, they must take due precaution and get their USB pen drives scanned by antivirus software installed on computers in the


  1. Use of Email facility
    • Email facility is provided to students, faculty and staff for official purposes and official IDs, whether generic or personal, shall not be used for deriving any personal benefits by posturing and/or impersonation.
    • Internal emails shall not be copied / forwarded to outside vendors/suppliers or any other agencies for conveying internal decisions to them. Nor shall email facility be used for sharing any information that may be confidential / sensitive to the Institute’s activities.
    • Use of email service to send anonymous, harassing, fraudulent or threatening messages is strictly prohibited.
    • Emails accumulate over time and consume the storage space earmarked in email servers. Therefore, users must clean-up their mail-boxes at regular intervals to avoid exceeding the storage space allocated to them, failing which IT Facilitator may delete the older mails for management of storage capacity.

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Platform

The Institute has acquired license from iWeb Techno Solutions (Product Name: IUMS), Bangalore based Campus ERP software for implementation of its ERP modules. The modules in the installed ERP package are configured for leave management system and employee day to day attendance by using Biometric System (EasytimePro Biometric & HRMs Application supported by ZKTECO, Bangalore) updates day to day, weekly and Monthly attendance, Leave Management (Casual, Medical, Earning Leaves) and On-Duty service of Employees, Timetable, are operationalized. The ERP is helping the institute in enhancing the efficiency of different processes of the Institute.

Fixed Asset Management Software

Turnitin Plagiarism Software

Turnitin provides instructors with the tools to engage students in the writing process, provide personalized feedback, and assess student progress over time. Turnitin is used by more than 30 million students at 15,000 institutions in 150 countries. Turnitin is an American commercial, Internet-based plagiarism detection service which is a subsidiary of Advance. Universities and high schools typically buy licenses to use the software as a service (SaaS) website, which checks submitted documents against its database and the content of other websites with the aim of identifying plagiarism. Results can identify similarities with existing sources, and can also be used in formative assessment to help students learn to avoid plagiarism and improve their writing.

Turnitin Feedback studio is integrated with Moodle LMS for verifying the assignments for various examination conducted by IPE.

The institute provides Laptops to all the faculty members, Officers and students with sufficient performance capability. The Wi-Fi enabled campus provides seamless connectivity and ubiquitous use of and access to Servers and other databases.

 E-mail server

Institute has an email server for its internal and external official communication. Presently it is hosted on Google Mail Server

Teaching Aids:

Classrooms are fully equipped with audio visual aids like DLP Projectors, speakers, Sony Wireless Mics, collar mike etc. along with Digitla Stylus Pads for Microsoft Digital White board for writing online classes.

Bloomberg Terminal:

IPE has a Bloomberg terminal. Bloomberg is an integral part of our finance papers curriculum. Bloomberg L.P. provides financial software tools such as analytics and equity trading platform, data services, and news of corporations and government through the Bloomberg Terminal. The system also provides news, price quotes, and messaging across its proprietary secure network. It is well-known among the financial community for its black interface, which is not optimized for user experience but has become a recognizable trait of the service.

Bloomberg terminal provides access to real time national and international financial data, market information, business news, and cutting edge financial analysis tools. It also provides Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) course, an eight hour self paced e-learning course. It makes us one of the few business schools in the country to offer training & research in most advanced areas in finance.

Analytics Lab

Institute of Public Enterprise is actively involved in preparing its students to be industry-ready by providing them with the skills & education which are relevant and up to date. SAP ERP is an enterprise resource planning software which incorporates key business functions of an organization. IPE provides adequate knowledge and training to students on SAP to reap benefits from modules like FI/CO (Financial Accounting and Controlling), MM (Material Management) and SD (Sales and Distribution). IPE is a member school of SAP-UAP (University Alliance Program) from Aug 2018 to till date. From 2019 SAP UAP is connected from Victoria University, Melbourne

Digital Language Laboratory
