Overview

PGDM-IB, a full time two year programme, comprises four semesters of study including summer internship (SIP in the 1st year) and a major project (MP in the 2nd year).

IPE is amongst the few reputed B- schools in India which offer an exclusive post graduate management programme in International Business which gives the students a double advantage: Knowledge of all MBA/PGDM level subjects and additionally knowledge of a few international business subjects spread across domains such as Global marketing, International finance/financial markets and Foreign currency management, Commodity trading, Global supply chain management, WTO, International Trade Logistics, Sectoral Export Business strategies etc.

Study visits

Study visits / industry visits enable the students to bond theory with practice. Visits to Indian ports such as Mumbai, Chennai, and Vishakapatnam are being planned to enable them acquire first hand knowledge of international business logistics and trade, functioning of the port administration, customs, and shipping.

Foreign study tour

Students who exercise the option will be sent on study visits to ports and other industry in Singapore and Malaysia at cost. During the visit the students will be provided with an opportunity of interacting with the senior executives of multinational companies and gain valuable insight into the nuances of international business.

This two in one unique kind of course composition, coupled with add-on foreign tours, at cost, helps students improve their career prospects which could span over all companies/ corporates, both national as well as international.

Objectives

Course Structure

The two year full time program will enable imparting knowledge to students relating to several aspects of addressing to management and growth of any companies business be it or national or international.

Eligibility

The candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ST/PC candidates), of any of the universities or declared to be deemed as a university or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.

Candidates appearing for the final-year degree examination (or equivalent examination) can also apply. The proof of acquiring the required qualification should be submitted within four weeks from the date of commencement of the course. Work experience or sponsorship by firms is desirable.

Selection Procedure

• Candidates have to appear the Admission Test (CAT/MAT/ATMA/XAT/CMAT/JMET).Obtain, fill in and submit the IPE application form to IPE.
• Short-listed candidates will be called for Group Discussions and Personal Interviews to be held at IPE.
• Final selection will be based on the performance of the candidates in Admission Test, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews and consistent Academic record.

Application Form

The application form of IPE can be obtained from the Admissions Officer, Institute of Public Enterprise, OU Campus, Hyderabad – 500 007 by payment in cash of Rs. 750/- (Rupees Seven Hundred and Fifty only) in person or through post by sending a crossed demand draft for Rs. 800/- (Rupees Eight Hundred only) drawn in favor of the "Institute of Public Enterprise" payable at Hyderabad.

Application form can also be downloaded from the Institutes website: www.ipeindia.org. Candidates downloading application form from the website need to submit the filled-in application form to IPE along with a DD for Rs.750/- (Rupees Seven hundred and Fifty only) drawn in favour of  "Institute of Public Enterprise" payable at Hyderabad.

Last date for submission of application is 31 May 2013.
