Dr. R. K. Mishra, Senior Professor and Dean is the Director of Institute of Public Enterprise, is a graduate of International Management Programme, SDA Bocconi, Milan, Italy. He has been a Fellow of British Council and Commonwealth Secretariat, He has been awarded Fellowships by UNDESA, ICSSR and UGC. He has had research stints at London Business School and Maison Des Sciences De L’ Hommes, Paris. He has taught at the University of Bradford, United Kingdom and was a visiting Professor at Maison Des Sciences De L’ Hommes, Paris. He was on action research at North-West Province of South Africa at the invitation of DFID, UK. He has handled assignments for the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Heavy Industries, Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Ministry of Heavy Industry and Public Enterprises, and Ministry of Disinvestment. He has been a Management Consultant to organizations including PWC and Adam Smith Institute, London, and the Asian Development Bank. He has been a member of the Planning Commission Study Group on Restructuring of SLPEs. He was a member of the Committee on MIS for Performance Appraisal set up by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He was also a member of the working group on privatisation set up by the International Institute of Administrative Sciences, Belgium. He has also been a researcher for Planning Commission. Finance Commission, Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council, OECD, United Nations University - World Institute for Economic Development Research, International Civil Service Consortium, State Bureaus of Public Enterprises, Financial Institutions and Banks. He is Vice-President (Asia). International Association of Schools and Institutes in Administration, Brussels. He is Honorary Member on the Board of Research, American Biographical Institute, USA. He is special invitee to the Board of Governors and the Executive Committee, Institute of Public Enterprise, Hyderabad. He has several international and national publications. He has supervised Doctoral Research for several Universities in Management, Economics, Commerce and Public Administration. He has taught at M.Phil and M.B.A programmes for more than three decades.
His current interests include Economic Reforms, Privatisation and Restructuring, Finance, Poverty Management and Good Governance.
